Point A shows you that simple is highly effective and improving your game is more about where your mind is than where your backswing is. You control your thoughts, and your thoughts control everything. Whether it’s a drive from the first tee, a lob over a bunker or your last putt to break a new low score, the key is to play every shot from Point A.
Professional golfers will often credit record-breaking rounds to playing “one shot at a time.” The fact that you can play only “one shot at a time” seems so obvious that many golfers take this basic truth for granted. Others believe they are already playing “one shot at a time” when they are not. How to play one shot at a time is the question. With its simple and logical plan for what to think, how to think and when to think on the golf course, playing from Point A is the answer.
What a wonderful book, nothing like it on the market. This is not an instruction book and it is no ordinary psychology book, it’s something special. Any golfer that wants to play their best, from beginner to Tour Professional should read this, it will give you a completely different perspective on enjoying and excelling at this incredible game of golf. Bravo to the authors!!!
Golf for me was never a relaxed game. Always overthinking every shot, trying to control every aspect of the game….. until reading this book. Taking a more relaxed approach has helped me get out of my own head and as a result my game has improved tremendously. I think I’m even starting to enjoy myself! I can’t thank the authors enough for showing me a better way!!
Reading your book, Golf from Point A, has made me realize how complicated we have made this game. It can be played very simply if we just allow ourselves to do it. It doesn’t mean it is easy, it’s just simple. Sometimes it’s difficult to do but I know the more I practice with simple thoughts the better my game gets!
I decided to give “Point A” thinking a go the last two days. I shot 84 both days on two very challenging courses – and I know had more fun too. If you are looking to find a better way to manage your emotions and thoughts on the golf course – this is one to definitely consider!
This is a quick and simple read that challenges me to stick to my routine. Having uncomplicated thoughts will help keep me in the present. A great read or gift for any golfer.
